Booking and payment

How does booking work?

You pick your dates on the website calendar, see the available suites and pay a 50% deposit on the inn’s official booking page. The balance is paid at check-in, on arrival.

What is the cancellation policy?

The deposit is not refunded in cash: it becomes credit for another date if you notify us in writing (email) at least 15 days in advance. The credit is valid for 90 days. With less than 15 days’ notice, there is no credit. On long holiday weekends, Christmas, New Year and Carnival the same 15 day rule applies.

Is there a minimum stay?

On many dates the inn asks for a minimum of 2 nights. The calendar shows it on the day itself when there is a minimum.

Is booking on the website cheaper than on Booking.com?

Booking direct, you pay the inn’s own price, with no fee charged by booking sites, and you talk directly to the people who will welcome you.

Your stay

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in from 12h and check-out by 11h.

Is breakfast included?

Yes. Every suite includes breakfast, served on the veranda.

How many people fit in each suite?

Up to 2 people per suite, with one queen bed. For 3 or more, book two suites or message the inn.

What kind of trip is Convés made for?

For resting. It is a quiet, peaceful retreat chosen by couples and by anyone who wants to switch off. Each suite sleeps up to 2 people.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes, satellite Wi-Fi in every suite. On the island, mobile signal varies by carrier.

Can I bring drinks for the minibar?

The minibar comes stocked by the inn, and storing items brought from outside is not allowed.

Arrival and the island

How do I get to the inn?

Drive to Santa Luzia Station in downtown Angra dos Reis, then take a speedboat for about 25 minutes to Araçatiba. With advance notice, the boat drops you at the inn’s pier.

Do I need the Viva Angra voucher?

Yes. The Viva Angra voucher (island entry fee) is required to board for the Angra islands: R$ 50 per person, free for children up to 12, people over 60 and people with disabilities.

What if it rains or the sea gets rough?

Araçatiba Bay is sheltered and the sea is usually calm. If the weather turns, the team helps rearrange your tours. Leaving early because of the weather is not refunded, so it is worth checking the forecast before you go.

Is there nightlife in Araçatiba?

Almost none, and that is on purpose. Araçatiba is the quiet side of the island. People looking for parties usually stay in Vila do Abraão.

What should I pack?

Light clothes, sunscreen, insect repellent, a snorkel mask if you have one, some cash for small expenses and a bag that is easy to carry on a boat.
